On Fleek Assistance Needed

"Your eyebrows are on fleek! What do you use?" After hearing this in class I leaned towards my friend and said "I don't do anything with my eyebrows, am I suppose to?"  The trend that once boggled my mind (why add one more thing to do on our makeup routine list), has now grabbed my attention.  I'm intrigued by things I don't fully understand, like why women are suddenly putting so much effort into the caterpillars that sit above their eyeballs.  Growing up my mother drilled it into my head to not over pluck my eyebrows.  Thank you Peggy for that advice, as for one thing I do notice about peoples eyebrows, is if they don't really have any left.  But besides that I don't pay much attention to them, do a little plucking here and there, but otherwise they just hang out on my forehead. I actually started this post about a month ago, but didn't feel it was good enough to publish, and they I came across a tutorial on Instagram.  A women completely covered up her eyebrows with some form of thick concealer, re-drew them back on, and to top it off added individual fake eye brow hairs to finish her look.  I'm just baffled.  We're talking about eyebrows. Yes I know eyebrow shaping has always been a part of women's beauty routine, I guess I was just ok with mine, but now were coloring them to? I honestly thought that was just once you started getting older and your eyebrows became naturally thinner.  No I'm not judging woman who shape or color in their brows, I'm asking for their help! Like what do I do with my hands? I don't know.  I have dark eyebrows and blonde hair, I think that's a good thing? I also have some what of an arch, but is it "archy" enough?  Should they be fuller? I read a post on Man Repeller that shared the story of a women shaping her eyebrows for the first time at a NYC brow bar.  Yes those are a thing, do we have one in Fargo? I just googled it, apparently Ulta stores have benefit brow bars. Step one: Make appointment.  But how do I know what look I want to achieve? However Ulta's website did provide some helpful tips on what to ask for at your brow appointment, and what products you can use at home to keep up with your new look.  I thought about making an appointment and sharing the results, but honestly a monthly manicure is higher up on my list of self maintenance.  I realize you probably started reading this hoping you could get advice on eyebrow shaping, and clearly I'm not doing my job.  So I found some tips on line! The best advice I found was on elle.com.  This article is nice and short, yet still covers what I consider to be the basic foundation of eyebrow shaping.  Here's the link if your interested!

I also thought I would do a little research on popular products that eyebrow experts seem to love! Anastasia Beverly Hills seems to be a popular brand on the internet and among my friends.  They offer pencils, shaping gel, and tinted brow gel.  It's not the cheapest, but I would consider it to be reasonable.  Elle.com suggest the Sumita Beauty Imlee eye brow pencil for beginners, and its only $11.  Well I hope this helped anyone looking to improve their eyebrow game, and if not, hopefully it at least gave you a good laugh ;) Enjoy tomorrow if you have the day off and remember to thank Martin Luther King Jr. for all the progress and peace he helped our country come achieve.  Hopefully we can all work together to keep moving forward.
